Terms of Service
Last updated: June 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of Bolter. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Using Bolter
Bolter helps you log food, estimate nutrition, view progress, save preferences, use Siri and widgets, and optionally sync nutrition data to Apple Health. You are responsible for the information you enter and for deciding how to use the results.
Accounts
Some features require Sign in with Apple and cloud sync. Keep your account secure. You can sign out or request account deletion from within the app where available.
Subscriptions
Bolter may offer paid subscriptions or other in-app purchases through Apple. Prices, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and trials are handled by Apple and the App Store terms that apply to your Apple account. Pro access is managed through RevenueCat and depends on an active entitlement.
Health Disclaimer
Bolter provides estimates for general tracking only. It is not medical advice, a medical device, a diagnosis tool, or a substitute for guidance from a qualified health professional. Nutrition estimates can be incomplete or inaccurate, especially when generated from text, images, voice, branded foods, restaurant meals, or assumptions about portions.
AI Results
Bolter may use AI services to analyze food descriptions, images, transcripts, and preferences. You should review and edit generated results before relying on them. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use or content that violates law.
Apple Health, Photos, and Permissions
Apple Health sync and photo-library saving are optional and controlled by iOS permissions. You can change those permissions in iOS Settings. If Health sync is enabled, Bolter may write calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat to Apple Health.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse Bolter, attempt to access another person's account, interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the app, or use the app in a way that violates law or third-party rights.
Third-Party Services
Bolter relies on services from Apple, Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and other infrastructure providers. Their services may have separate terms and privacy practices. Bolter is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Availability and Changes
Bolter may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We try to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bolter is provided "as is" without warranties. Bolter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on nutrition estimates.
